Bold abstract florals with Llewellyn Skye
I am now teaching 2-day workhops for Bienarté in Brisbane, yay!! Exclusive to Bienarté, this workshop is for those who want to loosen up their painting style and create bold abstract florals that hold an edge.
What will I learn?
Beginning with drawing exercises, Skye will teach you how to switch on the creative side of your brain. Working from still life floral set-ups, you will be guided through traditional techniques with a loose, abstract approach.
You will be creating a multi-paneled piece that can be finished as individual paintings or kept together as one.
This will be a fun, energetic workshop with an emphasis on trusting your intuition, embracing loose gestural marks and not over-working your pieces.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop is suitable for people with a basic knowledge of their chosen medium. It will cater to all experience levels from beginner to advanced.
While Skye usually works in oil colours, for the sake of drying time we will work in acrylic. However, for those who would prefer to work in oil, you are welcome to do so, but please use a fast-drying medium and acrylics to paint the backgrounds.
