Inspired by the fragile orange poppies that wilted in my studio over days, I’m in love with that orange line. When we were talking about the title, and decided to call her ‘Yesterday’ rather than ‘Yesterdays Poppies’ the song Yesterday by the Beatles came on.

We couldn’t believe it, it was such a sign!!! I secretly believe it was a sign from Mum - she LOVED the Beatles, and so do I.

Trying to remain composed, but bursting at the seams with so many emotions about this one. I’m humbled, excited, overwhelmed - in a good way, pumped, obsessed, nervous, but most of all, ready to take this all on and make @wagnercontemporary proud because this little baby is the first painting for my solo show ‘Chasing Romance’ where I’ll be represented by @wagnercontemporary at @sydneycontemporary 😱🥂🎉🥳
